Le attività pratiche e i laboratori didattico-esperienziali sono ideati e organizzati per fascia d’età e linee d'intervento, rappresentano un'integrazione alle visite guidate e facilitano la comprensione del percorso museale. La presentazione del giocattolo e del gioco evolve e matura nella conoscenza dei materiali impiegati, della loro origine e provenienza, nella comprensione dell'uso e della tecnica costruttiva, nella scoperta e riscoperta delle intrinseche valenze antropologiche, artistiche, storiche e scientifiche. La conoscenza transita poi nell'attività del fare. Gli utenti hanno la possibilità di "mettersi in gioco" e realizzare con le proprie mani un giocattolo che potranno portare a casa come ricordo dell'esperienza vissuta e della visita al Museo del Giocattolo Tradizionale della Sardegna.
I GIOCHI DEL MONDO. TEMATICA: Globalizzazione - DESTINATARI: dai 6 anni in sù; gruppi max 15/20 unità.
Grazie a questo laboratorio i bambini potranno ampliare le proprie conoscenze sul mondo esterno apprendendo il concetto di globalizzazione e di culture diverse. I bambini saranno accompagnati dall'operatore alla scoperta delle sale, dei giocattoli esposti, del loro uso e dei materiali impiegati per la costruzione. Successivamente verranno illustrati contenuti di carattere informativo sulla tematica, attraverso supporti cartacei (cartoline, posters, fotografie) e contenuti multimediali (video, files audio, interviste, registrazioni inerenti giochi tradizionali appartenenti a differenti culture). Acquisite le informazioni necessarie ogni bambino realizzerà il giocattolo prescelto impiegando stoffe, carta e materiali di origine naturale.
LA MACCHINA DEL TEMPO. TEMATICA: Passato e futuro - DESTINATARI: dai 10 anni in sù; gruppi max 15/20 unità.
Attraverso il gioco, la conoscenza dei giocattoli e l'ingegno i bambini saranno stimolati a individuare le connessioni che intercorrono tra mondi solo apparentemente distanti. Ingredienti fondamentali del laboratorio: infinita fantasia, materiali semplici, tecniche di lavorazione antiche e applicativi informatici contemporanei. I bambini potranno riprodurre il gioco del tetris con l'ausilio di elementi modulari in legno oppure replicare con semplici applicativi open source i puzzle geometrici bidimensionali.
KIT COSTRUZIONE GIOCATTOLI. TEMATICA: Oggetti e gioco; progettare per giocare - DESTINATARI: dai 10 anni in sù; gruppi max 15/20 unità.
In questo laboratorio non si avrà un risultato finale stabilito poiché lo stesso sarà determinato esclusivamente dall’ingegno, dalla fantasia e dal senso estetico dei partecipanti. Potrà tuttavia essere prevista e indirizzata la tipologia di oggetto o attività ludica che si intende porre in essere realizzare – un giocattolo singolo, un gioco da fare in coppia o in gruppo. Durante il laboratorio verranno forniti materiali per la costruzione, come elementi modulari del giocattolo, oppure saranno enunciate le regole generali da rispettare (un’azione da svolgere, da utilizzare in cooperazione o sfida). Il giocattolo realizzato potrà essere scambiato o donato a un altro partecipante, pertanto si potrà provvedere anche all'ideazione e realizzazione del relativo packaging.
I GIOCHI DEI MIEI NONNI. TEMATICA: Patrimonio museale - DESTINATARI: dai 6 anni in sù; gruppi di max 15/20 unità.
I bambini potranno cimentarsi nella ricostruzione di un giocattolo tradizionale con materiali e tecniche originali. L’attività avrà inizio con la visita guidata alla collezione permanente durante la quale verrà rivelato l’oggetto da replicare, individuato in base alle capacità degli utenti; le possibilità saranno pari al numero di giochi presenti nell'allestimento. Una volta giunti nel laboratorio attrezzato del museo, l’oggetto verrà presentato, scomposto nei singoli elementi costituenti e riassemblato (per i giocattoli più complessi ne verrà illustrato il funzionamento). Al termine del laboratorio ogni partecipante avrà la possibilità di portare con sé l’oggetto prodotto. La ricostruzione dei giocattoli sarà fedele all'originale anche nell’impiego dei materiali (legno, canne, sughero, corda). Verrà limitato l’utilizzo di adesivi chimici a vantaggio delle tecniche originali di giunzione e incastro. Sarà inoltre sostenuto l’utilizzo di materiali di scarto e recupero.
RICICLO E RI-GIOCO. TEMATICA: Eco-sostenibilità e ri-creazione - DESTINATARI: dai 6 anni in sù; gruppi max 15/20 unità.
L'attività si compone di una parte teorica e di una pratica. Inizialmente verrà fatta una presentazione propedeutica sulla lavorazione e sull'assemblaggio degli elementi che costituiscono il giocattolo. Saranno poi presentati i materiali di origine naturale utilizzati per la realizzazione dei giocattoli tradizionali e quelli moderni che li hanno progressivamente sostituiti. Nella seconda parte del laboratorio i partecipanti saranno impegnati nell'attività pratica di realizzazione del giocattolo. Gli oggetti da replicare saranno selezionati in base all’adattabilità (esempio: il classico cavallino di canna può essere ricostruito con le bottiglie e i tubi in plastica o polietilene) e decorati con vecchie stoffe.
MAGICHE VISIONI...SUONI MISTERIOSI. TEMATICA: Esperienza sensoriale; i cinque sensi - DESTINATARI: dai 6 anni in sù; gruppi di max 15/20 unità
Gli operatori coinvolgeranno i partecipanti in semplici e divertenti esperimenti volti a mettere alla prova i loro sensi: TATTO: attraverso l'ausilio del solo tatto i bambini saranno stimolati a riconoscere il giocattolo nascosto all'interno di un contenitore. Il percorso sensoriale prosegue poi bendati e a piedi nudi, su un tracciato costituito da materiali diversi. UDITO: i bambini avranno la possibilità di confrontarsi con un percorso sonoro caratterizzato dall'alternanza di suoni afferenti ad ambienti, luoghi e tempi diversi (esempio:ambiente urbano, naturale, casalingo, diurno o notturno). I bambini saranno poi chiamati riconoscere i suoni prodotti da diverse tipologie di materiali e a individuare i giocattoli sonori presenti nel percorso museale. VISTA: i bambini saranno invitati a riconoscere gli oggetti riprodotti in immagini mostrate loro dall'operatore museale e a reinterpretarli. OLFATTO: i partecipanti saranno invitati a esplorare un ambiente immaginario attraverso la sola traccia lasciata dagli odori caratteristici di quello specifico ambiente che dovranno poi riprodurre graficamente. GUSTO: il quinto senso sarà stimolato coinvolgendo i partecipanti in giochi e attività volti a far loro conoscere e riconoscere le differenze che intercorrono tra i quattro sapori (amaro, dolce, salato e piccante) e sulle diverse zone di percezione dei vari sapori all'interno della bocca.
GIOCHIAMO CON LA MUSICA. TEMATICA: Ascolto e riproduzione suoni - DESTINATARI: dai 6 anni in sù; gruppi di max 15/20 unità.
Il laboratorio prevede la realizzazione di strumenti musicali utilizzando materiale da riciclo di vario genere (plastica, carta, cartone, alluminio, polistirolo...). La prima parte del laboratorio sarà destinata alla scoperta ed alla scelta dei materiali impiegati. Poi, con l'aiuto degli operatori, i bambini avranno la possibilità di conoscerne l'origine, l'impiego iniziale, le possibilità di riutilizzo e le peculiari caratteristiche acustiche. Successivamente i partecipanti, divisi per gruppi, potranno costruire i propri giocattoli sonori.

The practical activities and the didactic-experiential workshops are designed and organized by age group and lines of action, represent an integration to the guided tours and facilitate the understanding of the museum path.
The presentation of the toy takes place in the knowledge of the materials used, their origin and provenance, the understanding of the use and construction technique, the discovery and rediscovery of the hidden anthropological, artistic, historical and scientific values. Knowledge then passes through the activity of doing.
Users have the opportunity to "get in the game" and realize with their own hands a toy that they can take home as a reminder of the experience and a visit to the Museum of Traditional Toys in Sardinia.
THE TOYS OF THE WORLD Target group: Children from 6 years of age upwards in groups of max 15/20 units. Theme/topic: Globalization.
With this workshop, children will be able to expand their knowledge of the outside world by learning the concept of globalization and different cultures.
The children will be accompanied by the operator to discover the rooms of the toys on display, their use and the materials used for the construction.
Through paper supports (postcards, posters, photographs) and multimedia content (videos, audio files, interviews, recordings of traditional games belonging to different cultures), the children will receive information on the subject concerned.
Once the necessary information has been acquired, each child will create a toy using fabrics, paper and natural materials.
TIME MACHINE Target group: Children from 6 years of age upwards in groups of max 15/20 units. Theme/topic : Past and future.
Through play and knowledge of toys and creativity, children will be stimulated to identify the connections between worlds that seem distant.
Basic ingredients of the workshop: infinite imagination, simple materials, ancient working techniques applied to contemporary computer resources.
Children will be able to reproduce the game of Tetris with the help of wooden elements or replicate with simple open source two-dimensional geometric puzzles.
Material used: wood and derivatives, chemical and mechanical adhesives, PC and software open source.
CONSTRUCTION KIT-TOY Target group : Children from 6 years of age upwards in groups of max 15/20 units. Theme/Topic: Objects and game - Design to play.
In this workshop you will not have a final result established, it
will be determined exclusively by the creativity, imagination and aesthetic sense of the participants.
However, the type of object or activity that will be created can be decided initially - a single toy, a game to be played in pairs or in groups.
During the workshop, construction materials will be provided, such as elements of the toy, or general rules will be set out (an action to be carried out, to be used in cooperation or challenge).
The toy made can be exchanged or donated to another participant, so it can be provided also to the conception and realization of the relative packaging.
Material used: wood, paper and cardboard, plastic material and derivatives, natural materials.
OUR GRANDPARENTS' TOYS Target group: Children from 10 years + groups of max 15/20 participants. Theme/Topic: Museum heritage.
Children will be able to reconstruct a traditional toy with original materials and techniques.
The activity will begin with a guided tour of the permanent collection during which the object to be replicated will be revealed, identified according to the skills of users; the possibilities will be equal to
number of toys present in the installation.
In the museum's workshop, the object will be presented, broken down into individual constituent elements and reassembled (for more complex toys, their functioning will be illustrated). At the end of the workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to take the self-produced object with them. The reconstruction of the toys will be faithful to the original especially in the use of materials (wood, reeds, cork,rope). The original interlocking techniques will be used, trying to eliminate the use of chemical adhesives. The use of waste and recycled materials will also be supported.
RECYCLING AND REUSE Target group: Children from 6 years+ groups 15/20 partecipants max. Theme/Topic: Green-sustainability and re-creation.
The activity is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part.
A preliminary presentation will be made on the processing and assembly of the elements that make up the toy. The natural materials used to make traditional toys and the modern materials that have gradually replaced them will be presented.
In the second part of the workshop, participants will make the toy.
The objects to be replicated will be selected on the bases of their versatility.
(example: the classic cane horse can be reconstructed with plastic or polyethylene bottles and tubes) and decorated with old fabrics.
Material used: plastic and derivatives, assembled fabrics and metal scrap by using chemical and mechanical adhesives.
THE FIVE SENSES Target group: Children from 6 years+ groups of max 15/20 participants. Theme: Sensory experiences. The five senses.
Operators will involve participants in simple and fun experiments to test their senses:
1. Touch: by touching the children they will be stimulated to recognize the toy hidden inside a container. The sensory path then continues blindfolded and barefoot, on a path made of different materials.
2. Hearing: children will have the opportunity to deal with a sound path related to different environments, places and times (example: urban environment, natural, home, day or night). Children will have to recognize the sounds produced by different types of materials and to identify the sound toys present in the museum itinerary.
3. View: children will be invited to recognize the objects through images shown to them by the museum operator and to reinterpret them.
4. Smell: participants will be invited to explore an imaginary environment through the only trace left by the characteristic smells of that specific environment that they will have to draw afterwards.
5. Taste: the fifth sense will be stimulated by involving participants in games and activities to make known and recognize the differences between the four flavors (bitter, sweet, salty and spicy) and the different areas of perception of the various flavors inside the mouth.
LET'S PLAY THE MUSIC Target group: Children from 6 years old upwards in groups of max 15/20 units. Theme/topic: Listening to and reproducing sounds and noises.
The workshop involves the creation of musical instruments using various types of recycling material (plastic, paper, cardboard, aluminium, polystyrene...). The first part of the workshop will be the discovery and the choice of materials used. Then, with the help of the operators, the children will know the origin of the material, the original use and the possibilities of reuse and the peculiar acoustic characteristics. Then the participants, divided by groups, will build their own sound toys.
